Tim Tebow provided support for airline passengers during a medical emergency on a Sunday flight from Atlanta to Phoenix, according to accounts posted to social media.
The SEC Network analyst left his seat to pray and offer his support to the wife of a man who appeared to be suffering due to a heart problem, according to the accounts. Tebow also provided transportation to the hospital for the woman after the plane landed, per one account.
Delta spokesman Brian Kruse confirmed that there had been a medical emergency during the flight and that paramedics were in place when the plane landed to provide care for the passenger.
"We can't say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another," Kruse said.
Delta won't be revealing whether Tebow was on the flight out of respect for customer privacy, and Tebow hasn't made any comments or posts about the matter. But the news comes as no surprise, given Tebow's history of good deeds.
