Tony Romo had 'calming feeling' before winning drive

Tony Romo seemed to have every answer for the New York Giants on Sunday night.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback led a crowd-silencing drive in the second quarter after Odell Beckham Jr. set the world on fire with the most ridiculous catch ever.

Again, after the Giants took a four-point lead with three minutes remaining in the contest, Romo drove Dallas 80 yards in seven plays for the game-winning score.

"It's a calming feeling," the Cowboys quarterback said of how he felt at the start of the final drive, per ESPN.com. "You're almost doing what you decided before the game, if that makes sense. Once you get into the series, then obviously you're going to call the play and going to come up with the stuff that you feel best doing.

"But more than that, it's just three minutes, you have two timeouts. That's a different situation than one minute and no timeouts. You have to prepare for those situations."

It helps that calm knowing the type of offensive line play that's in front of him. Romo had nearly 10 seconds to throw the ball on a couple of drop-backs. Credit Romo for not getting antsy in those spots and finding receivers coming open, including Dez Bryant on the game-winner.

Critics constantly wait -- sometimes hope -- for Romo to implode in a key spot. However, Sunday there was only calm before the score.
