Ohio State coach Urban Meyer's feet are back on the ground after the return of a charity cruise was delayed a couple of days by fog. The Buckeye Cruise for Cancer toured the Gulf of Mexico and was set to return to Port Tampa after four days, but a delay of 36 hours left one of college football's best coaches no different than any of 2,500 passengers stranded at sea.
Meyer's daughter, Gigi, didn't seem to mind the extra time.
The cruise benefits the Urban & Shelley Meyer Fund for cancer research as well as the The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
It's a good thing Meyer won the national championship over Oregon.
Nothing like thousands of sea-stranded fans getting an extra two days to ask the coach questions about how it was lost.
