As the NFL's Salute to Service celebration continues, Panthers.com reported that the Carolina Panthers were honored as an NFL Purple Heart team for its work with veterans in the Charlotte area like Mike Stubbs, a Purple Heart recipient.
Also, Vikings.com reported that the Minnesota Vikings have designated this Thursday's home game as a date to honor military branches.
