EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Tarvaris Jackson said he's ready to be Minnesota's starting quarterback again if Brett Favre is unable to play this week.
Favre's status is uncertain for Sunday's game at New England. He has two fractures in his left ankle that could keep him on the sideline for the first time since 1992.
Jackson has had the job before, of course. His career record in 20 starts, including one postseason game, is 10-10.
He said he's learned a lot just by watching Favre, even if he hasn't taken a snap yet this season. Jackson attempted 21 passes last year, but all of that experience came when the game was already decided.
