EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield returned to practice for the first time since Sept. 30 as he tries to work his way back from a neck injury.
Winfield practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and coach Leslie Frazier says the Vikings will monitor his progress throughout the week. Winfield was injured against Kansas City on Oct. 2 and has missed the last two games against Arizona and Chicago.
The Vikings could use their leader in the secondary against Aaron Rodgers and the high-flying Green Bay Packers on Sunday at the Metrodome.
Receiver Percy Harvin also has missed practice with sore ribs and safety Jamarca Sanford is out with a concussion. Linebacker E.J. Henderson is limited with a knee injury, as is special teamer Kenny Onatolu with hamstring injury.
