Vikings land three-year naming-rights deal for field at Metrodome

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Mall of America is coming to Minnesota's Metrodome.

The mall and the Minnesota Vikings said Thursday that they have reached a three-year agreement on naming rights to the football field.

The field officially will be called Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome until the team's lease expires in 2012. Neither party would discuss financial terms.

It's the second sponsorship in the last two weeks for the Vikings, who are trying to find ways to make more money in the nearly 30-year-old facility in Minneapolis. The Vikings are near the bottom of the NFL in revenue and are trying to get approval for a new downtown stadium.

The Mall of America is in the southern suburb of Bloomington.
