Randy Moss is many things -- talented, intelligent, enigmatic, moody. But nostalgic he is not.
When asked Thursday how he felt about returning to New England, having spent three-plus seasons there, the wide receiver told the *Boston Herald* that he's not worked up for his first visit to Gillette Stadium since the Patriots traded him to the Vikings before Week 5.
"I don't really have a feeling (about going back)," Moss said. "I'm just excited to be able to play football every week."
Moss made magic with quarterbacks Tom Brady and Matt Cassel in New England, catching 259 passes for 3,904 yards and 50 touchdowns in 52 games. But Moss said he is comfortable in Minnesota, where he also played from 1998 to 2004 after being a first-round draft pick.
"Everything's fine, man," Moss said. "I'm content. I'm satisfied. I'm OK. Ain't no problems."
Having played in just three games for the Vikings this season, Moss probably has more familiarity with New England's offense than he does Minnesota's -- something his coaches are likely to use to their benefit this weekend.
But Brady suggested the Patriots will be ready for that.
"Sure, he can probably tell them the plays," Brady said Wednesday. "He knows the signals and stuff, but that's why you have to change them. Hopefully, he tells them one thing, then you fake it, and they're guessing and maybe they guess wrong. Who knows?"
