- New York Jets wideout Denzel Mims is going through individual drills for the first time since the start of training camp. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury. Safety Marcus Maye is out again with a calf injury. The team also waived linebacker B.J. Bello and nose tackle Sterling Johnson. The Jets signed running back Pete Guerriero.
- Promising Green Bay Packers linebacker Kamal Martin had surgery on his meniscus Tuesday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed. He is likely out for 6-8 weeks, making him an IR/designated to return candidate, Rapoport added.
- The Los Angeles Chargers announced safety Derwin James underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of the 2021 season. The team will place him on injured reserve.
- The New York Giants are acquiring cornerback Isaac Yiadom from the Broncos for a seventh-round draft pick. A 2018 third-round selection of the Broncos, Yiadom started eight games for Denver in 2018 and could vie for playing time straight away in the New York defensive backfield. The Giants have also signed center Jon Halapio, wide receiver Johnny Holton and long snapper Tinker Carson. Tackle Jackson Dennis and tight end Rysen John have been waived and defensive back Jaquarius Landrews has been waived/injured.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis will not practice again with a shoulder injury.
- The Atlanta Falcons announced they have signed quarterback Kyle Lauletta.
- The Carolina Panthers signed linebacker James Onwualu. The team also waived/injured wide receiver Tommylee Lewis.
- Philadelphia Eagles newly acquired safety Will Parks is out for multiple weeks with a hamstring injury, NFL Network's James Palmer reported, per a source.
- The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with safety Doug Middleton and waived guard Avery Gennesy.
- The Miami Dolphins announced Wednesday they have released wide receiver Chester Rogers. The team also waived defensive back Jeremiah Dinson, defensive end Avery Moss and defensive back Deatrick Nichols.
- The Minnesota Vikings have placed defensive end Kenny Willekes on injured reserve and waived running back Tony Brooks-James, linebacker Jordan Fehr and defensive ends Stacy Keely and Anthony Zettel. The team also waived linebacker Quentin Poling, who was previously on the reserve/injured list.
- The Detroit Lions are bringing in former Texans running back D'Onta Foreman for a tryout, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported via the transaction wire.
- The Seattle Seahawks are bringing in center Justin Britt and defensive end Damontre Moore for tryouts, Pelissero reported via the wire.
- The Dallas Cowboys waived/injured offensive tackles Mitch Hyatt and Wyatt Miller, waived tackle Pace Murphy, tight end Charlie Taumoepeau and quarterback Clayton Thorson. The Cowboys also cut wide receiver Devin Smith and center Adam Redmond.
- The Indianapolis Colts waived wide receiver Chad Williams, as they reached an injury settlement after he was previously on the reserve/injured list. Indy also waived tight end Ian Bunting.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars waived tight end Charles Jones.
- Raiders first-round cornerback Damon Arnette, who's impressed in camp, recently suffered a fracture in his thumb and is currently in a soft cast, per Rapoport. The Ohio State product does have experience playing with a club in college, Rapoport added. Las Vegas waived linebacker Sharif Finch, defensive back Nick Nelson and guard Jordan Roos.
- The San Francisco 49ers signed defensive end Cameron Malveaux and waived defensive end James Lockhart . Coach Kyle Shanahan also said the team is hopeful of getting wide receiver Deebo Samuel (Jones fracture) back to practice next week and that receiver/returner Richie James (wrist) should be cleared in advance of the season opener. Shanahan added defensive ends Nick Bosa (leg) and Dee Ford (calf) wouldn't practice this week, but he would be surprised if they were not ready for Week 1.
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing free-agent running back Leonard Fournette to a one-year deal with a max value of $3.5 million and a base salary of $2 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday night. The team also waived kicker Elliott Fry.
