Each week, we at NFL fantasy like to bestow #KABOOM awards on the top players at each position that deliver monster performances for their fantasy owners. Week 12 had no shortage of star performers and surprises, but there were a few players in particular who deserve the nod for dominating their position: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tre Mason, DeAndre Hopkins and Coby Fleener.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Houston Texans -- 39.32 fantasy points
Where in the hell did this come from? Fitzpatrick threw six touchdown passes on Sunday and 358 yards as the Texans torched the Tennessee Titans. Fitzpatrick had only ever thrown for 350 or more yards four times in his career, and had never tossed more than four touchdowns in a game until Sunday. So it begs the question, do you believe in Fitzmagic?
Tre Mason, RB, St. Louis Rams -- 34.40 fantasy points
Many expected Mason to have a good game against the Raiders defense. Few expected him to rack up 164 total yards on 17 touches and score three touchdowns, but that's exactly what he did. Mason was a huge spark for the Rams as they drubbed the Raiders 52-0. This kid has a bright future in this league and fantasy football.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans -- 35.80 fantasy points
I've had a man-crush on DeAndre Hopkins all season, so no one was more excited to see him go off on Sunday for career-highs in catches (nine), receiving yards (238) and touchdowns (two). He's been the best wide receiver on the Texans all season, so it was great to finally see him get good enough quarterback play to put together a monster game.
Coby Fleener, TE, Indianapolis Colts -- 24.70 fantasy points
Fleener has acquitted himself nicely as a top receiving option for Andrew Luck with Dwayne Allen out of the mix. He had 127 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' blowout win over Washington, and he could have made it three touchdowns had he not committed one of the worst drops of the season.
