Woodley voted Week 7 GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Week

Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley is the GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Week for games played on Oct. 19-20.

Woodley was selected from among five finalists by voters on NFL.com/gmc. The other finalists were safety Nick Collins of the Green Bay Packers, safety Michael Johnson of the New York Giants, linebacker Kawika Mitchell of the Buffalo Bills and linebacker Terrell Suggs of the Baltimore Ravens

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.

  Nick Collins, S, 
 Green Bay Packers

Collins intercepted Peyton Manning's pass on the first play of the second half and returned it 62 yards for a touchdown to set the tone for the Packers' 34-14 win over the Colts. Collins also contributed a tackle and two passes defensed.

Michael Johnson, S, New York Giants

Johnson made two key interceptions, including one in the end zone late in the second quarter, to help the Giants defeat the 49ers, 29-17. Johnson also had two passes defensed and made two tackles.

  Kawika Mitchell, LB, 
 Buffalo Bills

Mitchell snuffed a potential go-ahead touchdown drive by the Chargers when he intercepted Philip Rivers on the Bills' 1-yard line late in the fourth quarter. Mitchell had seven tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in Buffalo's 23-14 win.

Terrell Suggs, LB, Baltimore Ravens

Suggs returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown in Baltimore's 27-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. Suggs also had seven tackles, a sack and a pass defensed.

LaMarr Woodley, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Woodley posted two sacks and four tackles in Pittsburgh's 38-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers held the Bengals to only 212 yards of total offense.
