The Browns are trading backup quarterback Case Keenum to the Bills for a 2022 seventh-round draft pick, Tom Pelissero reports. Cleveland has also agreed to terms with former Dolphins and Colts QB Jacoby Brissett.

The Chargers are making another massive addition to their defense. L.A. is expected to sign Pro Bowl cornerback J.C. Jackson to a five-year, $82.5M deal, Ian Rapoport reports.

The Packers are not letting Davante Adams walk in free agency. The chase for a multiyear extension, however, continues. Green Bay on Tuesday placed the franchise tag on arguably the top wideout in football.

Russell Wilson is back. The Seahawks' star QB was officially cleared for a full return Monday after missing four weeks with a finger injury. 

With the 4-4 Browns seemingly at a crossroads, embattled QB Baker Mayfield put together perhaps his finest performance of the season in a 41-16 win over the Bengals. He was equally impressive in how he addressed Odell Beckham's departure, which followed a tumultuous week involving the star wideout.

In a rare showdown between opponents with the same listed name, Jaguars LB Josh Allen sacked and intercepted Bills QB Josh Allen and recovered his fumble in a shocking 9-6 Jacksonville upset. All three plays were firsts for two players sharing a first and last name.

The QB position is, and likely will be, the Saints' biggest question in the aftermath of losing Jameis Winston for the rest of the season to injury. Just before the trade deadline, New Orleans tried to secure a familiar answer. The Saints reached out to the Broncos to propose a swap for Teddy Bridgewater, Tom Pelissero reported.

Odell Beckham will officially be waived by the Browns next week. He might become a free agent for the first time in his career soon after. OBJ and the Browns signed their settlement to finalize his release and send him to waivers on Monday, Ian Rapoport reports.

A right shoulder injury for Ben Roethlisberger surfaced in Friday's injury report. The Steelers QB was already limited in practice this week by nagging hip and pectoral injuries. None of it will ultimately sideline him for Monday Night Football against the Bears.

The Stephon Gilmore era in Carolina is set to begin. The star cornerback was activated off the physically unable to perform list Saturday, clearing him to make his Panthers debut Sunday against the Falcons. 

The Cowboys will soon have to decide whether Dak Prescott will play Sunday. Two days before they take on Minnesota, they don't seem any closer to knowing what that decision will be.

Byron Kennedy wasn't supposed to receive Tom Brady's 600th-touchdown football. He's being rewarded handsomely for giving it back. The Buccaneers are giving Kennedy two signed jerseys and a helmet from Brady, a signed Mike Evans jersey and his game cleats, $1,000 credit at the team store, and two season passes for the remainder of this season and 2022.

The Dolphins' purported interest in Deshaun Watson took center stage this past week in the buildup to the NFL's Nov. 2 trade deadline. Tua Tagovailoa did all he could Sunday to adjust that spotlight.

Patrick Mahomes had a rough day, and it ended early. The Chiefs' all-world quarterback was knocked out midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans. Mahomes would clear the concussion protocol, but Andy Reid opted to shut him down with the game already decided.

J.J. Watt, the greatest player in the history of the Texans franchise, can barely recognize the team that parted ways with him in February. It'll make for a polarizing reunion Sunday when the Cardinals defensive end takes on his former team for the first time.

Tennessee Titans All-Pro running back Derrick Henry and Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott led the selections for NFL Players of the Week. 

Derrick Henry is producing the best encore to a 2,000-yard season in NFL history. The show continued Monday night with another virtuoso performance. Henry rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns as Tennessee edged Buffalo, 34-31, in a battle of division leaders.

The 49ers might be switching QBs again -- this time back to their starter. Jimmy Garoppolo participated in practice Monday, while rookie Trey Lance was sidelined with his knee injury.

Christian McCaffrey will be gone till November. The Panthers placed their star running back on injured reserve Saturday, sidelining him for at least three more games. McCaffrey had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings after suffering a setback in practice this week.

Tua Time is only a day away. The Dolphins activated Tua Tagovailoa off injured reserve Saturday, clearing him to start Sunday against the Jaguars in London. The second-year QB is officially listed as questionable.

T.Y. Hilton returned to practice Wednesday and could return to the playing field Sunday. After undergoing neck surgery just before the season, the Colts wideout was contemplating whether he'd return to the game of football.

In need of insurance for Rodrigo Blankenship, the Colts are investing in the Money Badger. Indianapolis is signing Mike Badgley to its practice squad following a Wednesday workout, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report.
