Angela Cook
Angela Cook is a public servant and public interest attorney with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's (LASCN) Children's Attorney Project (CAP) program, where she represents children who have suffered from abuse and neglect. She provides holistic representation, advocating for the child's interest both in and outside the courtroom.
Angela is the embodiment of a public interest lawyer and social engineer, as she fiercely advocates for children in all aspects of her life. In addition to a demanding legal career, Angela makes time to serve her community on the Board of Directors of the American Civil Liberties Union, the executive board of the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association (LVNBA), and an adjunct professor in the University of Nevada Las Vegas' Criminal Justice Department and at the William S. Boyd School of Law. In her role as President of the LVNBA, Angela helped raise over $120,000 for minority law students, assisted in drafting and presenting legislation that promotes criminal justice, and educated students on their constitutional rights and trained them on how to interact with law enforcement.
