Janice Jackson
Janice Jackson is the CEO of Hope Chicago, a nonprofit organization founded in 2021 that provides debt-free college scholarships and wraparound services to students and their families. Recognized as one of the most innovative and bold efforts to remove barriers to opportunity, Hope Chicago has already made a significant impact, raising over $50 million since its inception. The organization has helped 4,000 families and increased college enrollment rates by more than 30% at its partner high schools. Before taking on her role at Hope Chicago, Dr. Jackson had a distinguished career in public education. She served as the CEO of Chicago Public Schools, becoming the first CPS alumna to hold the position. During her tenure, she implemented policies that led to a 10% increase in high school graduation rates over six years.
