Roberto Del Real
Roberto Del Real is currently the Director of Community Services at Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), where he oversees a range of community-based programs that serve individuals and families across Arizona. In his role, Roberto manages senior centers that offer congregate meals and support services to enhance the quality of life for older adults. He also oversees adult and youth community centers that implement a holistic approach to meeting basic needs while promoting STEM education and peer mentorship. Additionally, Roberto supervises the Family Assistance Programs, which provide emergency services to at-risk families, and the CPLC Home Health Program, which delivers in-home healthcare services. His work also includes overseeing Family Immigration Services, an accredited program that supports family reunification and offers low-cost immigration assistance. Another key initiative under Roberto's leadership is the Nahaui Ollin Wellness Program, which supports high school youth throughout Arizona, helping them explore their cultural identity and engage in civic action.
Roberto's professional journey began in behavioral health, where he worked as a case manager for youth services. This early experience ignited his passion for helping others and led him to pursue higher education, ultimately becoming both a youth and adult therapist. However, it was his recognition of the broader needs within the community that led him to shift his focus from individual therapy to social services. His commitment to empowering families through innovative partnerships and his deep belief in the importance of holistic community support has shaped his work as a leader.
Today, as the Director of Community Services at CPLC, Roberto is able to use his diverse background to support individuals and families at every stage of life. His dedication to the well-being of the community is rooted in his unwavering belief that everyone deserves access to the resources and support they need to thrive. For Roberto, this work is not just a profession, but a calling—one that he approaches with gratitude and a deep sense of purpose to assist "nuestra gente" (our people).
