Sherri Francois
Sherri Francois, Chief Impact Officer of SoLa Impact and Executive Director of the I CAN Foundation, has done transformative work in South Los Angeles, most notably her efforts to bridge the digital divide and provide underserved communities with educational opportunities.
At SoLa Impact, Sherri led the launch of South LA's first-ever technology and e-sports learning center, housed in the 92,000-square-foot SoLa Tech and Entrepreneurship Center at The Beehive campus. The center offers technology-based programs, scholarships, and career development opportunities to empower Black and brown youth in a tech-driven economy, preparing them to become future leaders and entrepreneurs.
In 2018, Sherri founded the I CAN Foundation, which works to break the cycle of poverty by providing access to high-quality education, technology, and professional development. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sherri's quick response helped ensure students in her programs remained connected to education and resources.
Sherri's impact has earned recognition beyond her community. She was named the Los Angeles Rams' first pLAymaker, a testament to her dedication to making a real difference. Her belief that success is driven by opportunity, not just ability, has inspired countless young people in South LA to dream big.
Through her leadership and commitment to equity, Sherri is creating pathways for young people to pursue careers in technology, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
