Carolina Frantz
Carolina Frantz, MSN, RN, is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the BSN-AID program at Duquesne University School of Nursing. With a strong background in nursing education and leadership, she previously served as faculty at Heritage Valley School of Nursing, where she taught leadership and critical care. Carolina's nursing career spans 14 years, including roles at UPMC, where she gained diverse experience, including positions in Home Health.
Outside of her professional work, Carolina is deeply committed to volunteering and community service. Since 2023, she has personally distributed 14,000 pairs of socks to the homeless in Pittsburgh, working with local organizations such as Pittsburgh Mercy, Jubilee Kitchen, Shepherd's Heart Fellowship, and Veteran's Home. Her Beaver Falls garage has become a key hub for sock distribution, helping meet the immediate needs of those facing homelessness in the region.
Carolina holds an Associate degree in Nursing from the Community College of Allegheny County, as well as a Baccalaureate and Master's degree from Carlow University, specializing in nursing leadership and education. She is also the founding member and current president of the Western Pennsylvania Area Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. Carolina's passion for nursing, community service, and advocacy for diversity and inclusion makes her a dedicated leader in both healthcare and her community.
