City Year helps students and schools succeed. Fueled by national service, City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools full-time as student coaches, preparing students with the skills and mindsets to thrive. Through their service, AmeriCorps member acquire valuable skills and experiences that prepare them to become life-long leaders working across lines of difference.

NFL Funding Supports:
- The Whole School Whole Child program, through which City Year unites approximately 3,000 AmeriCorps members to serve as full-time student success coaches and partners with 350 systemically under-resourced schools serving 220,000 students in 29 cities across the country to provide targeted and school-wide interventions in literacy, math, attendance and behavior to help students build key academic and social emotional skills needed to succeed in college and career.
- Adjustments to City Year's training and support for AmeriCorps members to prepare them for virtual, in-person, and hybrid service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- City Year's work to promote diversity, belonging, inclusion, and equity values and practices across the organization and through their service in schools.
