Troy Landrum

Troy "Tailgate Troy" Landrum, a U.S. Navy veteran, celebrating his 30th anniversary in December, 2023 with his beautiful wife Adriana, and a loving dad to his "lil mini me", Allysa.  As a proud active member of the Professional Football's Ultimate Fan Association and Tailgating Hall of Fame, Troy can be found demonstrating his loyalty and love for the Arizona Cardinals at all home games and several away games uniting fans of both teams during Saturday meet and greets and tailgates.

Troys love for the Cardinals began in 1988 when the team moved to Arizona.  The team utilized the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel as the base hotel before all home games.  It was here, when Troy, the weekend, evening security officer, would receive complimentary tickets to the games from Cardinals front office staff for assisting coaches for odd tasks, like bed check, which was done back then, with a real old fashion key.

Troy's greatest rush is derived from hosting AZ Cardinals and opposing team fans together.  His game day begins around 6 a.m. on Sundays for pre-game tailgates (as his tailgate team lines up and waits 3 to 4 hours, to enter the parking lot) and making sure all guests have a great time while enjoying excellent sportsmanship, delectable food and beverages, laughs with new and old friends, and good, clean smack talk.  Troy believes one of the most powerful aspects of the NFL is, the outstanding camaraderie among NFL fans from all across the league.

Troy carry's himself 24/7 as an NFL ambassador wherever he goes and that means he's not just a fan, but dedicates himself community service.   Community Service is a value instilled in Troy by his parents, whom both have served the community for many years as Board members for various organizations.  Tailgate Troy gives back to the community in various ways, packing food supplies at St. Mary's Food Bank, toy drives for Sun Shine Acres foster children, cooking and serving hot meals to the shelter-less with the ARIS Foundation, cooking for the children of the Ronald McDonald House, his largest organized event of 900 backpacks for two entire elementary schools, and an annual collection of donations for HopeKids Inc. AZ as part of a national competition amongst six other NFL tailgate teams.  In addition to the many community efforts, Troy often donates 1 pair of tickets to Operation Warrior Wishes or children's organizations throughout the season.

He and his infectious smile can be seen on the jumbotron throughout a game hyping up the crowd, giving high-fives and dancing in his section 118 seats or when on the road, by the team's tunnel.  The guy even has his beloved section 118, sing happy birthday, should word get out, someone seated in the section is celebrating a birthday on game day!

Go Cardinals!  Rise Up Red Sea!
