While not a native New Englander, becoming a diehard Patriot fan was an evolutionary process. I started going to Patriot games in the 1970s, subsequently became a Season Ticket Member, and the rest is history. My support for the team is unwavering, both in good times and not so good times. My tailgating group of more than 40 years is now multigenerational. At the beginning of every season, each tailgater receives a spreadsheet with their game day assignments. Every game has a theme - from baby back ribs to lobster. As might be expected, Patriot byes and road games determine when I take vacations.
Football is more than just a great game. It gives me great pride and pleasure to be a fervent fan of an organization that is charitable, gives back to the community, and shows caring, generosity, and a sense of responsibility.
