Mackenzie Currans
Mackenzie Currans was named the Bears Fan of the Year at Halas Hall on Halloween. Mackenzie thought she was there as part of a fan experience with others. As they were walking towards the experience, Mackenzie was surprised by T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds with two large Super Bowl tickets naming her the Bears Fan of the Year and letting her know she was going to New Orleans to watch the Super Bowl.
Mackenzie is a breast cancer survivor who upon receiving a five year cancer-free assessment decided to host a party to celebrate. She decided to use that party as a way to give back and help other breast cancer patients by raising money and donating the funds to the local cancer center where she was treated. This was the start of her annual fundraising drive which has raised $77,000 to date. Mackenzie has been a Bears fan since she was a little girl and was impressed by the Super Bowl Shuffle. She cheers on the Bears with her positivity and refuses to wear an item again during a season if it was linked to a loss. She has travelled to see the Bears play twice already this season and has planned one more road trip. Mackenzie enjoys the spirit and camaraderie among Bears fans.
