Lisa Siegel
Lisa Siegel, the ultimate South Florida sports fan, has been a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan her entire life. Her passion and positive spirit inspire her fellow fans and Dolphins players all season long. As a season ticket member for 35 years, Lisa exemplifies what it means to be a true fan. She uses her voice to uplift others and reflects on hardships as opportunities.
Lisa is not only a super-fan, but she is also an avid participant in the Dolphins Cancer Challenge. The Dolphins Cancer Challenge is the largest single fundraising event in the NFL, raising funds for innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since her first DCC 14 years ago, Lisa has raised over a 100 thousand dollars for cancer research. The fight against the disease became personal for Lisa in 2021, when her mom was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. Lisa lost her mother just 17 days after she had been admitted to the hospital. To this day, she leans on the Miami Dolphins community for support, but her biggest encouragement came from Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelen Philips. The DCC following her mother's passing, Lisa was greeted at the finish line by Phillips. Philips's words of encouragement helped lift Lisa up at one of the hardest points of her life. In 2023, when Jaelen Phillips was facing his own adversity, Lisa chose to use her platform for encouragement and support by posting a selfie with him every day for 289 days, until he made his return to the field. The selfies were coupled with encouraging, uplifting, and extremely supportive messages.
Through the ups and downs, Lisa Siegel's support for the Miami Dolphins has never wavered. Her dedication to making a lasting impact in the community and on all those around her, make Lisa the perfect representative of the Miami Dolphins organization. Whether it's in the stands, on a bike, or across her platforms, Lisa represents everything it means to be the Fan of the Year.
