Shanty Abdala
Mexico
Hi! My name is Shanty Abdala, a 27-year-old from Mexico. I have a B.A. in International Business, I really enjoyed that time in my life because it allowed me to meet so many cultures and people and I'm currently pursuing my MBA; upon graduation I would love to work in the fashion industry or in sports! Some of the things I love are football, I'm a huge baseball fan, traveling, going to concerts and just spending time with the people I love.
My love for the The Commanders started thanks to my parents! They introduced me to the game and the team, as it was their team and as I started growing, I fell in love with the sport and the team became mine too! That's why, the moment I received the email announcing my selection as The Commanders International Fan of the Year, I couldn´t wait to share the news with my family and friends. Their support means the world to me, and being able to share this recognition with them was incredibly meaningful and a full circle moment for us.
Even though I've never been to an NFL game, it's on my bucket list to cheer in person for The Commanders experiencing the excitement and atmosphere of the stadium. Also, cheering for Jake Fromm. He's one of my favorite players and I have so much respect for his career that I can't wait to see what this season brings!
I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the Burgundy and Gold in Mexico and showcase my support and passion for The Commanders in my home country, even if we´re a little far away!
