Excellence on the Field:

Chuck Clark was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Beginning his NFL career as a special teams standout, he has developed into a dependable leader for one of the top-ranked defenses in the league. He consistently demonstrates his leadership on the field as the coaching staff's appointed defensive player signal-caller. During the 2021 season, Chuck started all 16 games in which he appeared, registering 77 tackles (46 solo), 3 TFL (tackles for loss), 1 sack and 1 QBH (quarterback hit), while adding 2 INTs. Last season, he also helped Baltimore's defense to a No. 1 ranking in rushing defense (84.5 ypg). In 2020, he again started all 16 games and produced a career-high 96 tackles (57 solo), 1.5 sacks, 3 TFL, 4 QBH and helped guide the NFL's No. 2 scoring defense (8.9 ppg) to the divisional round of the playoffs. Currently heading into Week 8 of the 2022 season, Chuck has started all 7 games and has a team high (tied) 49 tackles (33 solo) along with 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery as the team stands atop the AFC North.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts This Year:

Chuck has always been an advocate for youth sports – in particular, youth football. He regularly attends local high school football games and participates in the Ravens All-Abilities PLAY 60 Clinic with Special Olympics Maryland. In spring 2022, Chuck was invited to The White House for its annual Easter Egg Roll and to promote health and wellness to children at the event. Earlier this year, the Ravens pledged a commitment of $250,000 over five years to support the launch of Girls Flag Football in Maryland. In March 2022, Chuck helped celebrate the official launch of the league by attending Frederick County's Flag Football Opening Day. He supported the establishment of their new interscholastic sport by taking the time to discuss his love of football with the female student-athletes. Additionally, as an avid supporter of high school football, Chuck visited Calvert Hall for the kickoff of the Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown where he gave the players a pre-game speech, helped coach during the game, provided play-by-play analysis in the radio booth and cheered alongside students and fans. In January 2022, Baltimore City firefighters were called to a two-alarm blaze in a vacant three-story rowhome when it partially collapsed trapping four firefighters inside. All four ended up tragically losing their lives. As a way to show gratitude and remember those first responders who have lost their lives in protecting us, Chuck joined the Ravens this past March in recognizing 38 fire stations in Baltimore with custom jerseys and meals. He also met with the colleagues of the fallen firefighters to pay his respects and show solidarity.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts in Years Past:

To expand his community outreach efforts, Chuck established the 36 & Co. Community Outreach, a fiscally sponsored project of the Players Philanthropy Fund, which aims to impact and serve those in need and inspire the lives of young people. Through his fund, Clark annually hosts back to school distributions in his hometown of Suffolk, VA for students in grades K – 12. Additionally, for Christmas 2021, Chuck distributed bikes to 36 Baltimore City high school student-athletes participating in the Next One Up after-school program. Chuck is also a perpetual participant in Ravens' Community Monday activities. He has shopped with kids during the team's annual Holiday Helpers event, volunteered through the Ravens' Caw to Action initiative, encouraged kids to be active and healthy through the team's PLAY 60 program and more. Additionally, not only does he participate in Ravens' community-led initiatives, Chuck is also a constant supporter of his teammates' charitable programs such as holiday food distributions, 5k fundraisers, shopping with children during the holidays, football camps and more.

Positive Character & a Lifestyle of Giving Back:

Anyone in the Ravens organization would agree that Chuck Clark is the consummate professional. He is always witnessed going above and beyond, and because of that unspoken leadership, has earned the respect of his teammates and coaches. Chuck is dependable and reliable and frequently mentors his younger teammates. He's passionate about social justice and has used his platform to record messages encouraging people to vote. He has also been included in team discussions about Inspire Change efforts in Baltimore. Chuck is also an incredible family man and proud "girl dad." He and his wife Aysha welcomed their first daughter, Charleé Reign, in 2019 and their second daughter, Chloe, this past June. Once his football career ends, Chuck plans to pursue a career working to help guide and counsel troubled teens. The Baltimore Ravens are proud to select Chuck Clark as their Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.
