Demonstrates Excellence on the Field

In 2021, De'Vondre Campbell joined the Packers as a free-agent acquisition after spending his first five seasons in Atlanta (2016-19) and Arizona (2020).

He led the Falcons in tackles in his last two seasons with the team and started all 16 games with the Cardinals. In his first season with Green Bay, he earned first-team Associated Press All-Pro honors, the first Green Bay inside linebacker to earn this honor since Ray Nitschke in the 1960s. He led the team with 145 tackles that year and signed a long-term contract extension prior to the 2022 season. In 2022, despite missing four games due to injury, he finished No. 3 on the team with 96 tackles (56 solo) and posted three passes defensed, two interceptions, a quarterback hit, six tackles for a loss, and the first touchdown of his career (63-yard interception return).

Now in his eighth season in the NFL and third with the Packers, Campbell has established himself as a veteran leader in the locker room. He helps set the standard and serves as an example to his young teammates.

Demonstrates Dedication and Commitment to Community Efforts this Year

Within the last year, Campbell and his foundation, the De'Vondre Campbell Family Youth Foundation, have taken their efforts to new heights, expanding their existing initiatives and adding new ones.

Beyond hosting his annual football camp in his hometown community in Florida, he maintains a connection with the state by contributing to his high school alma mater and supporting the community by donating essentials following last year's hurricane in Fort Myers.

His foundation has also added several initiatives this past year with a teacher and school educational impact program and a back-to-school impact program focusing on donating school supplies. He provided $10,000 in teacher supply kits, paper, writing utensils, and classroom supplies to a local elementary school in Green Bay, along with 200 backpacks and supply kits for families.

The foundation has also worked to address food insecurity. Campbell teamed up with local grocery stores to distribute 150 Thanksgiving turkeys. He and his wife, Nicole, also have helped lead several distribution and volunteer sessions at Paul's Pantry, a local Green Bay food pantry, to provide those in need with Campbell's Chunky Soup. This fall, the pair volunteered at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, packing holiday food boxes.

This past year, Campbell's Adopt a Family Program sought out households to aid. Donating a sum of $50,000 and hosting a holiday party, Campbell fulfilled every item on the Christmas wish lists of 25 families in need in the Green Bay and Minnesota area. He even went door-to-door delivering many of the gifts. After being connected to one of the families, Campbell's foundation also helped provide a wedding for them, providing over $30,000 in donations and in-kind support.

Campbell's commitment to the community was recognized last December when he was named the Week 16 NFLPA Community MVP. At the beginning of this season, he also received the Community Service Award from the Greater Green Bay Chamber at their annual Welcome Back Luncheon.

Demonstrates Dedication and Commitment to Community Efforts in Years Past

Campbell has given back to every community he has been a part of, from his high school home in Florida and his college football home in Minnesota, to the cities in which he's played professionally. He focuses his efforts on the children and families in those communities.

Prior to his time in Green Bay, Campbell established the De'Vondre Campbell Family Youth Foundation in 2019. The foundation's mission is to empower at-risk youth and families in need. As part of the foundation, an annual youth football camp is held at his high school alma mater in Fort Myers. Campbell leads the camp, conducting NFL-style drills and serving as a role model for all participants. The camp serves as a platform for Campbell to share advice with the youth attendees, equipping them with tools and motivation to pursue their goals.

Another initiative of Campbell's foundation is his Adopt a Family Program, which provides assistance to families in need during the holiday season. Through direct relief and gifts, he aims to put a smile on the faces of kids and ensure that everyone has the chance to have a happy holiday. While in Atlanta, he partnered with the Atlanta Children's Shelter to support their holiday shopping spree and provide the shelter's children with holiday gifts.

He has also provided dozens of foster care families in need with holiday gifting and resource distribution, providing more than $55,000 worth of support through the program prior to 2022.

Finally, Campbell has also actively participated in Packers community-oriented events since arriving in Green Bay, including signing autographs to raise money for The Salvation Army, contributing to a larger charitable impact in the area.

Demonstrates Consistency in Positive Character and Models a Lifestyle of Giving Back

Throughout his career, Campbell has devoted himself to making a substantial community impact in each stop he's made around the country. As his career progressed, it would have been easy for him to focus solely on his on-the-field performance. But the longer he is in the NFL, the more he finds opportunities to give back to a diverse array of outreach areas. In 2022, Campbell's teammates nominated him for the Ed Block Courage Award, recognizing his embodiment of sportsmanship, courage, and his role as a community model. This recent acknowledgment is another testament to how those in Campbell's life acknowledge him as a man of character, integrity, and humility.
