EXCELLENCE ON THE FIELD

Alec Ingold is a three-time team captain, a three-time Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee and is coming off his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2023. Since joining the Dolphins in 2022, Alec Ingold has exemplified the selflessness that is characteristic of the fullback role both on and off the field. In 2023, he was the lead blocker in a unit that led the league in total offense (401.3) for the first time in 30 years. A key part of pass protection, Ingold helped the Dolphins lead the NFL in passing offense and contributed to a pass protection group that allowed the fourth-fewest sacks in the NFL (31.0). He also blocked in a rushing attack that broke the team record for rushing touchdowns in a season (27) and that included running back Raheem Mostert who tied for the league lead with 21 total touchdowns and broke the individual franchise record with 18 rushing touchdowns. Ingold contributed 13 receptions himself for a career-high 119 yards in a role primarily responsible for blocking. Following the season, Ingold was selected to his first career Pro Bowl and was the recipient of the team's Don Shula Leadership Award.

DEMONSTRATES POSITIVE CHARACTER & MODELS A LIFESTYLE OF GIVING BACK

Throughout his career, Ingold has utilized the power of conversation and connection to create positive impact. He immerses himself in the details of his foundation's programming and mission, directly overseeing their implementation in his local communities. He specifically outlined his foundation's goals to inspire excellence, engage with the community, provide access to opportunities, and empower future leaders. He champions a variety of strategic initiatives he envisions as pathways to success and empowerment, including youth mentorship, mindset coaching and mental health advocacy, physical education, and financial literacy. Ingold is very focused on these specific initiatives and works to create programming that will live in perpetuity. He is unwavering and deliberate in his passion to combine his platform and purpose to create a sustainable network of positive impact. Ingold's character and positive leadership are on display both on and off the field. He has been selected by his teammates three times in his career as a team captain, including the past two years with the Dolphins. In 2023, he was named the winner of the Don Shula Leadership Award, which is voted on by the players and given to the teammate who best exhibits leadership on and off the field. In 2022, Ingold was selected as the team's Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award nominee and Ed Block Courage Award recipient. Ingold is known for his reliability – he does what he says he is going to do and leads the way in that example. He takes the initiative on a weekly basis, both during the season and in the offseason, to engage in community programming and make an impact. He does so without fanfare or media attention because he believes in the importance of the work he is doing, and he also looks for opportunities to bring his teammates along with him.

DEDICATION & COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY EFFORTS

THIS YEAR

In 2024, Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold has continued to expand his impact in South Florida, with a focus on empowerment and advocacy for the foster care and adoption communities – a cause close to his heart having been adopted as a child – as well as in the mindset coaching space for youth and adults. After publishing his first book, The 7 Crucibles in 2023, detailing his own experiences and lessons in personal adversities, Ingold has developed a curriculum and training modules based on the book's teachings. Ingold has implemented this curriculum in Broward County Public Schools, the second-largest school district in Florida. He is currently onboarding 21 of 29 schools in Broward County in "The 7 Crucibles Course" as part of their athletic programs, impacting up to 17,000 student-athletes in South Florida. He has also continued his work with SOS Children's Villages Florida, a residential foster care community in South Florida. This year, Ingold initiated a season-long "Gifts in Gold" fundraising campaign to provide a brand-new playground for the neighborhood, which will come to completion before the holidays. Ingold also donated 45 brand-new pairs of shoes to ensure the kids started off the school year in style. He makes regular visits to the community and supports them through his Ingold Family Foundation. Providing access to opportunity is a tenet in the Ingold Family Foundation's mission, and he has furthered that goal through his Money Mini Camp, a program dedicated to financial literacy and professional development for underprivileged high schools. In 2023-24, Ingold hosted a Money Mini Camp in his home state of Wisconsin, as well as another program uniquely designed for the youth of the SOS Children's Villages Florida. He demonstrates his passion for positive change by continuing to utilize his platform to reach new audiences through different media. Ingold hosts his "Forged Ingold" podcast to motivate and instill lessons in leadership and also hosted his third "Mindset | 4 Quarters of Leadership," a live podcast event. He has served as a motivational speaker for St. Norbert College student-athletes, the Arkansas High School Athletic Directors Association, and the Miami Dolphins Coaches Clinic, as well as working one-on-one virtually with college student-athletes across the country. Ingold has also continued to inspire excellence in youth, hosting free football camps for children in his home state of Wisconsin and current home in South Florida.

IN YEARS PAST

Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent, Ingold has sought to establish and sustain impactful change in his communities. Throughout his career with the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders, Ingold has committed to supporting team community events, while simultaneously strategizing and advancing his own foundation's programming to create positive change. In each of the communities he has been a part of, he has recognized the importance of immersing himself and addressing specific needs, but also the need to create positive impact that can be sustained and expanded long after he is there. After establishing the Ingold Family Foundation in 2022, he has sought to inspire excellence, engage the community, provide access to opportunity, and empower future leaders. He channeled his passion for motivation and inspiration into mindset coaching and has dedicated himself to empowering and developing leaders in many different spaces. Through events, educational and financial literacy programs, speaking engagements and utilization of media, Ingold has reached people across the country, including youth in the adoption and foster care communities, student and professional athletes, coaches, and local police. Ingold was adopted at birth and has connected to youth in the adoption and foster care communities through his own adoption journey. He has partnered with local and national organizations – including His House Children's Home, the Children's Home Society of Florida, and SOS Children's Villages Florida – whose goals align with advocacy and advancement for children in these communities. In 2022, he was nominated by members of Congress and awarded the Adoption Excellence Award by AdoptUSKids in Washington D.C. through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for his work in the adoption, foster care, and child welfare system. Ingold's work in the adoption and foster care advocacy space was also recognized by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI), who honored him as the 2022 CCAI National Angel in Adoption for his efforts. In alignment with team initiatives, Ingold has helped provide Thanksgiving meals, holiday gifts, athletic equipment and apparel donations for students and local youth in need, as well as an air conditioning unit for a foster family. Ingold was previously nominated as the Dolphins' Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee in 2023 and was the Las Vegas Raiders' nominee in 2020.
