EXCELLENCE ON THE FIELD
Grady Jarrett has made an incredible impact not only off the field, but on the field as well. Since entering the league in 2015, Grady has played in 144 regular-season games and has started 129 of them, all with Atlanta, his hometown. He has registered 473 tackles (256 solo), 123 quarterback hits, 74 tackles for loss, 36.5 sacks, six passes defensed, five forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. In 2023, Grady started in all eight games he appeared in before succumbing to a season-ending injury in Week 8. Grady worked hard from that point on to make sure he could make his return in 2024. In Week 1, he became Atlanta's franchise leader in quarterback hits, surpassing John Abraham who had 115. Of his 123 total quarterback hits, nine of those have come this season. He also leads Atlanta in sacks with 2.5. Grady has recorded 20 tackles (19 solo) and 24 stops this season and has a stop EPA of -19.6 according to Next Gen Stats, which measures the expected points added on his stops. His impact is massive on this defense and will continue to be the rest of the season and beyond.
POSITIVE CHARACTER & A LIFESTYLE OF GIVING BACK
Since being drafted in 2015, Grady has represented the Falcons and Atlanta in the best way possible. He has been nothing but consistent throughout his 10 years in Atlanta. Grady has spoken through his actions since being on the team and he has truly found a voice that encourages and uplifts his team and city. Grady was selected as a captain for the eighth consecutive season, showing his teammates view him as a leader on and off the field. He consistently pushes them to get involved in the community alongside him, which is
demonstrated by numerous teammates, veterans and rookies alike, attending various community events on his behalf. In November 2023, two weeks post ACL surgery, Grady perfectly modeled his commitment to giving back. Despite his surgery being across the country, he remained committed to hosting the seventh annual Atlanta Mission Dinner and flew in just to attend the event. He arrived on crutches and in considerable pain from his flight, but stayed and spoke with each of the 300 men at the shelter. This is just a small glimpse, and one example of the person Grady has been and always will be. Owner and Chairman, Arthur Blank stated, "There's probably nobody on the team that works harder than him. There's probably nobody on the team that's a better role model in every aspect that we ask our Falcons to be, not just on the field but off the field, too. He's one
of those folks you spend time with during your life and you never forget him." That statement clearly displays just how powerful of a positive presence Grady Jarrett has been in Atlanta since his arrival and no doubt will continue to be throughout the rest of his career and beyond.
THIS YEAR
Grady has been a staple in the Atlanta community and beyond throughout the year. Through the Grady Gives Foundation, he specifically focuses on advocating for anti-bullying, literacy, and empowering youth. In June, Grady made one of his largest donations by granting $70,000 in scholarships to help young students from underprivileged backgrounds advance their academic careers. He continues to pour into his "Big Men Don't Bully" campaign in which he hosts educational workshops with open discussions on recognizing bullying traits to develop a community-wide anti-bullying strategy. This year, he has hosted three anti-bullying pep rallies throughout schools in Atlanta with this campaign. This year, through his annual Grady Gives Weekend, Grady raised over $150,000 to give back to the Atlanta community. The weekend consisted of a foundation fundraiser at TopGolf, a free football camp
for 400 youth in Rockdale County, and the Big Man 7-on-7 tournament for local high school football players. This year, Grady has also focused on providing powerful one-on-one interactions with multiple Children's Healthcare of Atlanta patients who needed uplifting and encouragement. One patient he spent time with lost his leg in a tragic car accident and had previously attended Grady's 7-on-7 tournament.
Grady also creates numerous interactions by participating in events with Rally Foundation (supporting pediatric cancer) as a dedicated champion. He recently took a group of Rally Kids and their families bowling before helping the kids pick out their fancy outfits for the upcoming fashion show fundraiser. Grady co-hosted Rally on the Runway, walked the runway with pediatric cancer patients, and helped the organization raise over $700,000. Grady also headlined the Atlanta Falcons "404" Day efforts to give back to the Atlanta Mission Women and Children's Homeless Shelter by serving the shelter a home-cooked meal, hosting an Easter Egg hunt, and making arts and crafts with the youth. Grady prioritizes giving back even more throughout the holidays. For the eighth year, he will provide 300 homeless men in Atlanta with a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal at the Atlanta Mission. Additionally, he'll provide over 1,000 turkeys to families in need throughout
his hometown area of Rockdale County. Also, during the Christmas season, Grady will host a toy giveaway for over 1,000 families to ensure those who need support most feel loved during the holiday season. Needless to say, giving back to the Atlanta community is at the forefront for Grady Jarrett throughout the year.
IN YEARS PAST
Grady's dedication and commitment to the community has continued to grow over the past 10 years in Atlanta. It all started with his first free football camp in his hometown
of Rockdale County. From there, Grady's efforts in the community have skyrocketed. This offseason, Grady will host the 10th annual youth football camp as a part of his Grady Gives Weekend which has grown to include a fundraising golf tournament, 7-on-7 tournament, and youth football camp.
Each year, the impact of this special weekend continues to grow and be even more impactful. Grady believes
in consistency, and he has been just that for various community groups such as the Rally Foundation, Covenant House, and local Boys & Girls Clubs. For the sixth year, Grady purchased 20 season tickets to give deserving and underprivileged groups a unique gameday experience.
Most of the recipients would never have the opportunity to attend a Falcons game without Grady's generosity. Grady is also consistent in other areas of giving back. He continues to dive into anti-bullying efforts with his "Big Men Don't Bully" campaign which he started at the beginning of his career. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has also been a huge staple in Grady's commitment to giving back. He has constantly visited the hospital to show support to patients and staff members alike. Additionally, for the past six years, Grady has asked a patient at Children's to design
his cleats for My Cause My Cleats. He will do so again this year so he can continue to bring awareness to the incredible work and strength of the patients at Children's. This Thanksgiving, Grady will host his annual Atlanta
Mission Dinner for the eighth year. The men and staff at the shelter have come to know Grady over the years and look forward to this special night each November. Ultimately, Grady Jarrett has consistently shown his dedication and commitment to the Atlanta community and beyond since he entered the NFL in 2015.
