Kiko Alonso is on track to return to the football field for the first time since Week 2.
The Philadelphia Eagles listed the linebacker as probable to play Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys. Alonso injured his knee in the first meeting with the Cowboys, a 20-10 loss for the Eagles. Luckily the linebacker did not suffer a torn ACL, which allows him to return to the field.
Getting the dynamic linebacker back on the field will be a boost for an already stout front seven. Alonso, depending on how much he plays in his first game back, should help especially in coverage on passing downs.
After being acquired in a trade for LeSean McCoy in the offseason, Alonso has seven tackles and an interception in less than two games played.
Now for potential bad news for the Eagles: Ryan Mathews (groin), Nelson Agholor (ankle) and DeMeco Ryans (hamstring) are all questionable.
Mathews was held to a low snap count in their last outing due to the injury.
And for some actual bad news: Jason Peters (back) was downgraded to out for Sunday.
