One frightening concept surrounding the Green Bay Packers: It appears they're just heating up.
They made it look easy in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. That had everything to do with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who rained four touchdowns on the Cardinals' normally stingy defense.
"At the end of the day, as long as you got No. 12, you don't have to give a (expletive) who else you got out there," Cardinals pass rusher Darnell Dockett told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "They didn't do nothing dramatic that we didn't know he was going to do. He's been doing it all year."
And then some. The Cardinals have watched their 4-0 start melt away under the heat of five consecutive losses. They're as cold as the Packers are hot. Rodgers is on a tear -- 25 touchdown passes in nine starts -- and that production is coming without the help of a consistent ground game or his top receivers.
"He's the best quarterback in the game right now," Cardinals veteran safety Adrian Wilson said. "If you've got a great quarterback, you can do a lot of different things."
Rodgers is the primary reason people aren't fawning over the Chicago Bears in the NFC North. The Packers stumbled out of the gate, but when they're on -- despite a rash of injuries -- very few teams can keep up with the onslaught.
