The Green Bay Packers said goodbye to two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings last month, but Aaron Rodgers isn't concerned. The quarterback told WHQG-FM in Milwaukee on Tuesday that the Packers' offense is loaded.
"If you watched last year, Jordy (Nelson) again had a great season, was injured for a little bit," Rodgers said Tuesday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "James Jones led the NFL in touchdown receptions and Randall Cobb had 80 catches, so those guys were 1-2-3 options last year because of Greg being injured and Donald (Driver) didn't have the same role he had in the past.
"I feel real confident about those guys. Jermichael (Finley) had a big season last year, really came on at the end of the year. DuJuan Harris showed a lot in the playoff game as a guy who can get some more carries for us in the coming seasons. I like where our offense is."
The Packers had the NFL's No. 5 scoring offense in 2012 despite Jennings missing eight games. Jennings is one of the NFL's best receivers, but the Packers were prepared for his loss because of their depth at the position. Driver retired, but he wasn't a factor. Cobb starred in his increased, Percy Harvin-like role.
The $2 million question for Rodgers during the radio interview centered on his contract-extension talks with the Packers. Sources told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that's the gap between the sides.
Rodgers avoided answering questions about his contract situation with ease.
"We'll have to see what happens here," Rodgers said. "I don't have an answer for you."
