Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson surpassed the 2,000 yard mark and came within nine yards of breaking the single-season rushing record as the Vikings clinched a playoff berth in a win over the Green Bay Packers. Broncos overcome 2-3 start to earn AFC's top seed: The Denver Broncos claimed the AFC's No. 1 playoff seed with a 38-3 win over the visiting Kansas City Chiefs. QB Peyton Manning threw three touchdowns as the Broncos earned an 11th consecutive triumph. The Broncos managed to rally for home-field advantage despite opening the season 2-3.
