NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The agent for Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Tony Brown says his client will be recovered from a knee injury and ready for the 2011 season.
Agent Marty Magid told The Tennessean that Dr. James Andrews performed arthroscopic knee surgery on Brown in December and gave him a target date of July 1 to return to action.
Magid thinks Brown got pushed too hard last season after having a knee procedure following the 2009 season. Brown is rehabbing in Chattanooga.
The agent believes Brown still fits in the Titans' plans, even though the team drafted three defensive tackles.
In 11 games last season, Brown had 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks after signing a 3-year, $17 million extension last offseason. Brown had 61 tackles and five sacks in 2009.
