College football programs, of course, aren't allowed to give cash to recruits.
But that doesn't mean they can't tease it.
The latest promotional poster for the University of Alabama's recruiting efforts does exactly that. The online poster notes that the nine members of the Crimson Tide's 2013 draft class, which included three first-round picks, signed contracts valued collectively at nearly $52 million. It's been that kind of run for UA coach Nick Saban, whose program's output of NFL talent has been better than any of late.
First-round picks Dee Milliner (Jets), Chance Warmack (Titans) and D.J. Fluker (Chargers) make up the bulk of that sum (more than $35 million). Alabama has produced 14 first-round draft picks in Saban's six-year tenure as coach, and 17 draft choices over the last two seasons alone.
