Alan Branch, Buffalo Bills agree to three-year contract extension

On Monday, the Buffalo Bills announced that defensive tackle Alan Branch had signed a three-year contract extension.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the deal is worth $8.5 million and includes a $3.1 million signing bonus and $875,000 in guaranteed money, per a person who has seen the deal.

The contract includes various incentives: a $250,000 roster bonus for each year he's on the team, $100,000 in workout bonuses, $250,000 in snap incentives (55 percent of the snaps) and $100,000 for each Pro Bowl made.

Branch signed a one-year deal with the Bills before the start of the 2013 NFL season.

Branch has started 12 games this season, matching a career-high in tackles (35).
