Our first look at Robert Griffin III on Sunday, via NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Morning," showed the Washington Redskins quarterback walking the grounds of Lambeau Field in silence, just hours before facing the Green Bay Packers.
Six days removed from his rusty debut against the Philadelphia Eagles, RGIII is aiming to bounce back from his underwhelming Week 1 performance and keep the Redskins from tumbling to 0-2. The Packers, also looking for their first win of the season, don't plan to go easy on the second-year pro.
NFL Media's Albert Breer was told by Green Bay defensive lineman B.J. Raji that the Packers are determined to get in Griffin's face Sunday. Raji told Breer it will be important for Green Bay to get players around Griffin's legs to test how the quarterback truly feels about his surgically repaired right knee.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan told Breer he was encouraged by how Griffin stood in the pocket and delivered the ball against the Eagles on Monday night. Fair enough, but we saw a player still finding his way. Griffin's mechanics were off, his passes lacked zip and the game tape revealed him throwing off his front foot.
