Baker Mayfield, Kirk Cousins each donating $50K to Hurricane Helene relief

Before their teams face off Thursday night in a NFC South showdown, Baker Mayfield and Kirk Cousins are teaming up to donate to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks each are donating $50,000 to Team Rubicon's veteran-led disaster relief efforts.

Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm, struck the Southeast last week, coming into Florida before devastating Georgia and the Carolinas.

The death toll soared to 215 people on Thursday as more victims were found, making Helene the deadliest hurricane to hit the mainland United States since Katrina in 2005. Roughly half the victims were in North Carolina, while dozens more were killed in South Carolina and Georgia.

The NFL announced on Monday that it is providing $8 million to support communities affected by Hurricane Helene. Led by individual contributions from clubs and ownership groups from the Falcons, Panthers, Texans, Buccaneers and NFL Foundation, these donations will deliver critical resources and support to those affected by this tragic storm.
