Barring setbacks from concussion, Eagles plan for Vick to start

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will start on Sunday against the New York Giants barring any setbacks in his recovery from a concussion, according to two league sources.

Vick has passed his concussion tests this week, and the team announced Thursday he has been cleared by an independent neurologist.

One remaining step for Vick to get back on the field after the concussion he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Atlanta Falcons is how he reacts to the physical workload of Thursday's practice -- his first full session of the week -- and whether he has any headaches in the coming days.

Vick has been free of symptoms all week, and the Eagles are planning for him to start. He took all the first-team reps on Thursday.
