Battered Vick exits Eagles-Giants tilt with broken right hand

Michael Vick's Sunday ended prematurely for the second consecutive week.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was escorted off the field midway through the third quarter against the New York Giants with a right hand injury. X-rays determined a break in his non-throwing hand. It was unclear on what play Vick was injured.

Vick returned to action for one series, but he eventually was replaced by Mike Kafka. Vick was seen sitting on the bench without a helmet, looking dejected as Kafka entered the game, which the Eagles lost 29-16.

Vick was back in the lineup against the Giants after being forced out of the Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons with a concussion. He took several hard hits from the Giants over the course of three quarters.
