Jay Cutler might not get much help on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
The Bears quarterback won't be happy to learn that wideout Eddie Royal has been ruled out for the game while receiver Alshon Jeffery and running back Matt Forte are both questionable.
Royal and Forte are battling knee injuries while Jeffery sat out practice with groin and shoulder issues. Forte was limited in Friday's session after missing Thursday's practice to avoid aggravating his knee on the team's indoor turf field.
It gets worse: Linebackers Shea McClellin (knee) and Pernell McPhee (knee) were both limited and listed as questionable for Sunday.
If Forte can't go against the Broncos, the Bears are in good hands with Jeremy Langford, the rookie back who has piled up 324 total yards over the past two games.
Losing Jeffery, though, would neutralize Chicago's passing attack, leaving Cutler to throw the ball to tight ends Martellus Bennett and Zach Miller along with wideouts Marquess Wilson, Josh Bellamy and Marc Mariani.
That's hardly an inviting scenario against a typically stout Broncos defense hoping to rebound Sunday after back-to-back losses.
