LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have signed their top pick, defensive end Shea McClellin, to a four-year contract with an option for a fifth year. Terms were not disclosed.
The Boise State star was the 19th overall pick in the draft. He started 37 of 49 games for the Broncos (2008-11), registering 130 tackles (64 solo), 20.5 sacks and four interceptions.
McClellin is the fifth Bears draft pick to sign, joining receiver Alshon Jeffery, tight end Evan Rodriguez and cornerbacks Isaiah Frey and Greg McCoy.
The Bears also signed veteran free agent defensive linemen John McCargo, DeMario Pressley and Cheta Ozougwu (cheh-ta oh-ZOO-gwoo) to one-year deals.
