Bears will be without veteran LB Briggs, OT Pace vs. Rams

CHICAGO -- Bears linebacker Lance Briggs and offensive tackle Orlando Pace were inactive for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Briggs (knee) and Pace (groin) were injured during Chicago's loss last week at Minnesota. The Bears also were without tight end Desmond Clark (neck) for a third consecutive game.

Jamar Williams was set to start for Briggs, and Chris Williams moved from right tackle to left to replace Pace. Kevin Shaffer was at right tackle for Chicago.

Guard Richie Incognito was back for the Rams after missing four games with a sprained ligament in his right foot. Adam Goldberg was at right tackle for Jason Smith, who is sidelined by a concussion.

Rams running back Steven Jackson, who had been questionable with a sore back, was active.
