Bears WR Marshall's accuser visited police Thursday

Christin Myles, who has accused new Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall of striking her in the face, told the New York Daily News that she wants Marshall "criminally held accountable for what he did to me."

Myles and Marshall are at the center of an incident that transpired outside a New York club two days before he was traded to the Bears from the Miami Dolphins.

Marshall's lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, implied in a statement that Marshall had been trying to avoid getting involved in any violence while trying to escape the club when a melee broke out. Steinberg said Marshall's wife was hit in the face by a thrown bottle.

Myles claims, however, that Marshall exited the club looking to swing at anyone who was within reach.

"My eye still hurts," Myles told the Daily News. "I still have problems with my vision."

Myles' attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, said his client's intent is to get justice, and she visited with police on Thursday.

"She described to them in detail what happened on the street in front of the club when Brandon Marshall hauled back and punched her in the face, hitting her eye and causing her to be violently thrown to the ground," Rubenstein said.
