CINCINNATI -- The Bengals released two veteran punters Tuesday, clearing the way for fifth-round draft pick Kevin Huber to take over the job.
Kyle Larson and Ryan Plackemeier were let go. The Bengals claimed Plackemeier off waivers on Feb. 13 after he punted for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins last season.
Larson was the Bengals' punter the previous five seasons. He averaged 39.5 yards on 100 punts last season.
Huber grew up in Cincinnati and attended the University of Cincinnati. He was an All-American last season.
