Better late than never: Bolts' Phillips added to Pro Bowl

San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Shaun Phillips has been added to the AFC roster for Sunday's Pro Bowl in Honolulu.

Phillips replaces the Kansas City Chiefs' Tamba Hali, who earlier had been selected to supplant James Harrison of the Super Bowl-bound Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's the first Pro Bowl invite for Phillips. He will join quarterback Philip Rivers and guard Kris Dielman as Chargers representatives. Antonio Gates also was selected but will not play because of a foot injury.

Phillips had a team-high 11 sacks this season.
