ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills have promoted Paul Hubbard from their practice squad to address their injury-depleted group of receivers.
The Bills also placed offensive lineman Cordaro Howard on injured reserve. Howard started four games, three at right tackle, this season, but has missed four of the past seven.
Hubbard's promotion comes after David Nelson hurt his ribs in a 34-3 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. The Bills (4-11) prepare to close their season at the New York Jets this weekend.
Buffalo also signed receiver Rod Windsor to the practice squad after he was released from the Cleveland Browns practice squad earlier this month.
