Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is questionable for Sunday's season finale against the New York Jets because of a right knee injury.
"We're going to list him as questionable going into the game," Bills coach Chan Gailey told reporters. "If he can get ready, we'll have him out there."
Fitzpatrick missed his third consecutive day of practice Friday, but gingerly did work on his drop-backs with a trainer to the side. He hasn't missed a snap since taking over as the starter in Week 3 against the New England Patriots.
"I feel OK," Fitzpatrick told the Bills' official website. "I haven't done a whole lot. I've done the walk-throughs this week and a little bit of throwing the ball around. I've been hitting the treatment pretty heavy this week and putting some extra hours in there to do everything we can to get this thing healthy.
"I wish I was able to practice all three days. My training up until this year has been the life of the backup, where you're thrown in there without many reps. You've got to take the mental reps and be ready to get in there and do it. I've had a season worth of reps now. You want to be out there taking them, but I don't think it's that big of an issue at this point in the season."
If Fitzpatrick can't play, backup Brian Brohm likely will make the start. Rookie Levi Brown is Buffalo's other quarterback.
"I'm going to be ready to go," Brohm said. "Fitz is going to be a game-time decision. No matter what happens, I'll be ready to go. If it's to go in there and start, I'll be ready for that. If I have to go in during the course of the game, I'll be ready for that, as well.
"It would be good for me to get on the field and show what I can do in live action, in a system I've been in for a whole year. I feel very comfortable with where I'm at in this system. I need to go out on the field and show what I can do and show the coaches during game time, when it counts, that I can get the job done."
Donald Jones (concussion) and David Nelson (ribs) were ruled out after missing practice Friday, the Bills reported on their website, leaving the team with just three healthy wide receivers: Stevie Johnson, Naaman Roosevelt and Paul Hubbard. Gailey said another wideout could be added to the active roster.
