LeSean McCoy just wanted to have a party. He may still have one. But he'll have to take another pass at the invitation.
On Thursday afternoon, the Bills running back posted an image on his Instagram page promoting a "private event celebration" on Sunday night in Philadelphia. It didn't take long for the social media world to take note of the unusual attendance requirements -- the party was only open to women over the age of 21.
Apparently, the man who will play his games in the wings capital of the world is no fan of a sausage party.
Those who RSVP'd received a follow-up email explaining that women in attendance would be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. Further pre-party requirements included the attachment of a photo and link to a social media account. Transportation and attire (huh?) would be provided.
McCoy later deleted the Instagram post, right around the same time the Bills released the following statement to NFL Media:
"We have reached out to LeSean and informed him that players are not permitted to use team marks for personal use without prior permission from the team."
Advice to McCoy if he sends out another invite: Be less Shady.
