ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills have signed linebacker Thomas Williams to their practice squad.
Williams broke into the NFL with Jacksonville in 2008 after he was drafted in the fifth round out of USC. He appeared in six games and was used primarily on special teams as a rookie.
Williams then split last season with Seattle's and New England's practice squads. He was cut Sept. 4 by the Patriots.
The move Tuesday comes a day after Buffalo released linebacker Chris Ellis. The Bills (0-5) are in their bye week.
