ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -The Buffalo Bills signed quarterback Trent Edwards, the team's third-round draft pick, on Tuesday.
Edwards, drafted 92nd overall out of Stanford, is the second of the team's seven draft picks to sign. The Bills inked seventh-round selection C.J. Ah You, a defensive end, last month.
The 6-foot-4, 231-pound Edwards played only seven games as a senior - going 94-of-156 for 1,027 yards passing and six touchdowns with six interceptions - before being sidelined by a broken foot.
He will compete for the backup QB job with incumbent Craig Nall when Buffalo opens training camp later this month.
