Gregg Rosenthal's early choice for Offensive Rookie of the Year is under contract.
The Tennessee Titansannounced Tuesday that second-round running back Bishop Sankey has signed his rookie contract.
With Chris Johnsonout of the picture, there's no question Sankey will get the opportunity for an instant impact.
The first running back drafted last month, Sankey backed up a highly productive career at Washington by excelling in the short shuttle (four seconds flat), the three-cone (6.75 seconds) and the 40-yard dash (4.49) at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine.
"He can run inside, he can get outside, he runs through guys and he can break the long runs," Sunderland said after the draft, per the Tennessean. "He has great hands out of the backfield, and he's a good blocker. He is a well-rounded back."
Although Sankey has missed offseason practices due to his school's late graduation, he is on hand for this week's mandatory minicamp.
